My baby is almost 8 months old.

Which means, she's been here for as much time as I spent waiting for her to get here. Unbelievable! Why have these 8 months gone 3x faster than the other 8 months? It seems like nowadays, someone just has to ask something like, "Has she started sitting up unassisted?" and I'll say "No! Why, she hasn't even thought about it." Then what will she do, the very next day? This is all going by too fast.

OK, enough sappiness.

I guess I'll share a little bit about what is happening around the house these days.

Hubby is in the middle of his favorite rotation! So that's been fun. He's also been home for dinner almost every single night! Which makes this one of my favorite rotations, too. :) During his free time, he's been finishing up his residency application, which can be submitted any day now! Boy, this stage of his career/education is going so fast, too! This fall he'll be interviewing? What's up with that? Then someday in January 2012 he'll get an email that says "you've matched!" (At least, it better say that!) The next day he'll open a letter, telling us where to report for 3 years, starting summer of 2013. Then in March of '12 he'll open another letter, telling us where to report for 1 year, starting in June! So exciting.

V has 2 teeth, LOVES her maraca, and is minutes away from crawling. (I am in NO hurry for that to start! I enjoy being able to pick her up only feet away from where I set her down!)
Oh, and she's also started giving kisses when asked! It is too funny. She'll kiss mommy or daddy, or a stuffed animal if you hold it in front of her face and ask her. LOVE!

I still like cloth diapering.
