begins today! Well OK it doesn't really begin today, I've been baby proofing a little bit at a time as things come up that need to be "proofed". But today we are getting a couple baby gates! We are going to borrow some from a friend, V and I are going to go and pick them up after her morning nap is over. Yay! Thanks friend. This is such a great town to have a baby in! EVERYONE is So So helpful. And generous!
We also ordered a high chair this morning! Thanks to one of my very generous Aunts, V is getting quite the snazzy chair! Hopefully it will last her through college. Thanks Aunt Jo! I'm so excited for V to sit at the table instead of on it. Which means, the Bumbo can be put away (actually we'll be loaning it to a new little friend of ours) and we can give the exersaucer back to the friends who loaned it to us! Usually V plays in it while I'm cooking (it's in the kitchen) but now I can put her high chair at the kitchen table, and she can play there instead! Speaking of the kitchen, I'm thinking we need rugs in there now, since there's just no keeping her off of the tile. She gets a new bump every day! But she is quickly learning to keep her balance, and is so much more steady than she was even a few days ago. They change SO fast. She's started signing "milk". She's made the sign before, but I'm pretty sure it didn't used to count :). Now she'll sign it back to me while she's drinking, and I think she means it!
So all of the residency programs can view Hubby's application, in my last post I eluded to being slightly worried about the whole getting interview thing.... well I'm really not worried.
Today is "Brag About Your Spouse Day"!
I took a glance at his application, the section that listed research and what not. Ummm... that page on his application is ridic! How did he manage to get so much accomplished, and still be around so much? I know he never does anything school related on Sundays. We get him all day! He does have a 6 day work week, but most of that time he's in the hospital working. So at his medical school, it's required that you submit a paper to be published, in order to graduate. It doesn't even have to be published. And most schools don't even require that! Well let's just say, he has gone way beyond the minimum.
I'm so excited to find out where we'll be going!
Hmm, somebody is peaking at me through the slats in her crib. So I guess naptime is over! Off to get those baby gates and pick up some cereal for Hubby :) (V and I love shopping at Trader Joe's, but I'm sorry, their cereal stinks. So we'll be making a little trip to Target during our errands today.)
Feel free to do a little bragging about your spouse in the comments!
