have baby toys all over the house, co-sleep, formula feed, sit in the back seat with V instead of up front with Hubby, *sigh. You name any one of my "Nevers" and I'll tell you "Just kidding!" Because I've broken all of my rules!
This morning was spent rearranging the entire downstairs, to make the floor more feng shui or whatever for V's new mobility. She fell and cut her chin today! I was literally watching her crawl towards a cabinet (which used to be on the tile floor) thinking to myself, "I ought to change her out of that dress before she tr..." when a SMACK interrupted the conversation I was having with myself. IT WAS TOTALLY MY FAULT!! OK so maybe not totally, but I do feel as if I could have prevented it! So now the carpet downstairs has been maximized and the tile minimized. Anything that she might think about pulling up on, or that might even tempt her to travel onto the tile, has been moved or removed.
And there are baby toys all over the house.
But they are organized!
Baskets and trunks make me feel a little bit better about the Toys 'r Us throw up that's all over our living room.
Alright, so today is Friday! Oh what a wonderful day! It's also Hubby's last day in his favorite rotation. (Oh, and have I mentioned that his residency applications are out? Ah! Now we just sit back and wor...wait for those interview invites!) The house is all spick and span, laundry put away, floors cleaned, homemade cinnamon buns baked, (I got the recipe from my friend Victoria's blog! They're phenom!) And V and I rented 3 old movies! One for each night this weekend. Poor V is always in bed by the time Hubby and I get to start them, but I don't think she minds too much. As long as she gets to watch "Baby Signing Time" every once in a while. Oh that's another never! I will never prop my daughter in front of the TV while I cook dinner... Hahaha! Ahh... that's funny. Well anyways, the movies we rented are "Anastasia" with Yul Brynner, "A Patch of Blue" with Sidney Poitier, and 'The Nun's Story" with Audrey Hepburn. So excited!
Oh and that whole sleep-trainging-myself-thing hasn't worked yet, but we'll see! It's only been a few days and I think it usually takes a week with babies? So maybe it'll take longer for an adult...
